Who We Are
Theophany Studio is an East Texas based wedding and event cinematography studio. Our work is driven by the singular desire to retell the story of your wedding day, from beginning to end, in the most elegantly simple way possible, so that you, your family, your children, and even your children's children can enjoy and relive it in the days, months, and years to come.
Erick Alvarez is the lead cinematographer at Theophany Studio and has been filming weddings since the Fall of 2015, and since then has filmed over over 300 weddings all over Texas. He and his experienced team of filmmakers are ready to help you create a beautiful wedding film.
Let's Connect
Deciding if want your wedding filmed and by whom is a very important decision. Film is a very powerful and intensely personal way of capturing memories. We have found over the last 300 weddings that to make a great wedding film, it is best to be ok with being vulnerable. The truth is that not everyone is suited for the that sort of vulnerability, and that's ok. So, let's talk. Let's see if Theophany Studio is a good fit for you. Why Choose us?
When we started filming wedding over 9 years ago, we really didn't have a clue what we were doing. But, we kept practicing, kept learning, and kept improving our craft. 300 weddings later we are confident that we produce some of the most professional, cinematic, and compelling wedding films in the area.
Music Licensing
We all have those special songs that transport us back to those special moments. Music has that magical power. That's why at Theophany Studio we take extra special care to find the right songs that match your personalities and musical tastes and licensing them through approved licensing companies. This allows us to ensure that your video can be shared on line without the fear of it being flagged or taken down because of copyright issues. We also avoid using popular songs or using popular artists because their music is considerably much more expensive to license.
Agreement
It is critical that we are on the same page and are very clear about each other's expectations, therefore, once you have decided to have Theophany Studio film your special day, we will draft an agreement detailing explicitly our responsibilities as well as yours. In order to lock in your date, a deposit is required upon signing the contract.
Payment
You will be officially booked with Theophany Studio once we recieve the signed contract and the deposit, which is 50% of the total cost of your package. Payments can be made in installments before the wedding, but payment of the remaining balance is due four weeks before wedding date. Forms of payment can vary and can be discussed over the phone.
After the Wedding
After the wedding all of the footage, photos, and audio that was captured during the day is immediately stored and backed up on several hard drives to ensure they are preserved. At Theophany Studio we want to ensure that we dedicate quality time to your videos so that nothing rushed, but deliberate and intentional. For that reason, and depending on your package delivery of your films will take between 2 and 10 weeks.
Receiving Your Video
Our highlight wedding films and documentaries are uploaded to Google Drive and a link will be sent to you for you to review and download. This removes the need to use USBs, which can easily be lost or broken.

Super professional and they really make sure to listen to all your specific requests (music choices, important moments you want captured etc.)... "The One" package with the love story add on was the perfect way to remember our day. The videoquality was amazing, our guests loved him and he fit right in with everyone. The Love Story was a great way to show our story from when we met all the way up to the engagement, and even our thoughts on our future. The interview videos is also a great product. We found ourselves laughing at our different friends during their interviews on our wedding day. Overall ,I recommend TheophanyStudio for your videographer choice on that special day. Erick and his brother Will went above and beyond to capture the wedding night and the rehearsal. Like great photographers they remained out of the spot light but captured all the amazing moments! I can't wait to see the final product! I would recommend them to all!

Theophany Studio created a magical treasure for my husband and me to enjoy for a lifetime. In fifteen minutes he captured every single special moment, image, color and sound of our wedding day. I cried speechlessly the first time I watched our wedding video and as soon as it was over... watched it 10 more times. At this point, my husband and I how times we've viewed it. His music selections to pair with his incredible shots were perfect. I've never watched something that emotionally poignant. His work is a labor of love!
